Some of Buhari's campaign Promises
It's two years today since President Muhammadu Buhari took power. A throw back at his campaign promises.
- Public declaration of assets and liabilities:
- State and Community Policing:
- Price of fuel be sold at 35 naira
- 1dollar to 1 naira
- Ban of all government officials from seeking
- Implementation of D Nat. Gender policy, including 35% of appointive positions for women:
- Revival of Ajaokuta steel Company.
- Generation, transmission and distribution of at least 20,000MW of electricity within 4 years:
- To Employ 740,000 graduate across 36 states and the FCT :
- Free tuition and scholarship scheme for pupils who have shown exceptional aptitude in science subject
- 720,000 jobs by the 36 states in the federation yearly (20,000 per state): white lie
- 3million Jobs per year
- Embarking on vocational training, entrepreneurial and skills acquisition scheme for graduates along to create 5million jobs
- Churches ans Mosques will not pay taxes under national laws, but if they engage in business the business will pay tax
- Provision of allowance to the discharged but unemployed youth corps members for twelve months
- Creation of social welfare programme of at least
N5000 that will cater for the 25million poorest Nigerians - Nation wide sanitation plans to keep Nigeria clean
- Construction of 3,000km of superhighway including service trunks
